Colorado Vacation Recap

We got home Monday from our 18 day camping trip to Colorado. We love our pop-up trailer and love glamping (glamor camping), but it is so nice to get a long hot shower and sleep in your own bed. We spent time in Denver and then camped at Golden Gate Canyon State Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Steamboat Springs, along the Blue River, and in the Twin Lakes area.
Mama Moose & Baby
Up on Trail Ridge Rd in RMNP
Lots of snow up at the Alpine Visitor's Center!
Elk. So close to the road as we drove by!
Double Rainbow right by our trailer
This was me much of the trip. In my chaise lounge chair...reading a novel!
My brother, my son, & my hubby doing dishes! Best. Vacation. Ever.
Cousins testing out the COLD water! I waded in this water!
Our new to us Suburban was a great addition for the trip.
The trip included a meet up with 3 online friends, 2 of which are bloggers.

First I met Debi (& Charly) of Adorned from Above in Denver. Debi was a very gracious host who welcomed our family into her beautiful home. We went all afternoon with her at her neighborhood pool.
At the end of our trip when we were passing through Colorado Springs, we stopped to have lunch with Shannon of BentoLunch.net. It was very nice to meet her in person. Her kids are just too cute!
It was a great trip! Surprisingly we don't know where we are going next!

  1. Diana,
What a fun trip. I LOVE Colorado. I grew up in Colo. Springs. Have you ever went to Glenwood Springs? That is one of my favorite places.

    1. We did not make it as far west at Glenwood Springs. I guess we will just have to go back to Colorado again sometime!

  10. How great. My husband and I took our kids camping in Colorado when they were young. After three days of monsoon rains we checked into a hotel. My oldest daughter thought she had died and gone to heaven! We ended up cooking out the rest of the trip though because we had so much food left. Your pictures are lovely and I am glad that it looks like you had mostly sunshine! Thanks for sharing at What'd You Do This Weekend.
