Last week we went out to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and came home with a bunch of their rolls & cinnamon butter. The rolls are long gone but the little containers of butter have been sitting in our fridge. I wracked my brain for a few minutes and came up with this yummy spin on a classic.
Cinnamon Apple Grilled Cheese
Bread of choice
Cheddar slices
Apple
Cinnamon Butter
Spread the butter on the outside of the bread. Put a slice of cheese and thinly sliced apple between the slices of bread and grill. How easy is that? I think the only way to make it better would to be adding some bacon!

WOW, that looks so delicious!
ReplyDeleteAt first I was like... whoa, icky... but come to think of it, the apples and cheese together are like gourmet restaurant type of food. I am definitely going to have to try this soon. The less common the combination, the more likely my 3 year old is going to gobble it up ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, this sounds good. Never would have thought of this kind of grilled cheese. Thank you for the recipe.
ReplyDeleteWe may have met by chance...but we become friends by choice.

ReplyDeleteI have never tried apples with cheddar before but I have heard of some people serving apple pie with cheese. I am curious for sure. Do you think it would work better with sharper cheddar?
