My kiddos are very proud of their creations.
While I am gingerbread house fan, I've gotten lazy and buy the pre-cooked village set that comes with icing & candy. It's the perfect size and each kid gets to do their own.
The kids have been picking off the candy & eating it, so they aren't as pretty today!

WHAT?! You don't make your own gingerbread houses??? Cheaters!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI do a gingerbread house decorating contest at work each year and I use milk cartons as the base. You just use frosting and graham crackers for the sides--works just fine.
Hahaha!
DeleteOH MY what a simply stunning blog you have here! I love it! I want to thank you for taking the time to follow me at The Q.C Shmoogle Bean :) I appreciate it! I made my own gingerbread houses last year, just littles ones and wrote up a recipe.. Royal Icing is a nightmare for me though so I'm not sure that I'll be doing it again this year ;) I may cheat too!
