Chocolate Chip Belgian Waffle Cookies

A friend posted a pic from a cookbook on FB showing cookies baked in a waffle iron. I was feeling stressed out and was craving chocolate, so I tried it out.
I just used a Betty Crocker mix I had on hand and stuck a big glob in our Belgian Waffle Iron and they turned out GREAT! You just have to keep a close eye on it while baking. It was super soft as I tried to take it out, so I just held the waffle iron upside-down and kind of shook it out. Worked fine. I didn't use any spray on the iron. There was cookie residue after I baked a batch, so I didn't make anymore.
