Our Fun Weekend

Dori & I went to St. Louis over the weekend to visit friends. It's the 4th time I've gone down and stayed with my friend, Michelle. 3rd time with Dori. Michelle & I met online over 4 years ago as we were in the same online adoption group and used the same adoption agency. Dori loves playing with Michelle's daughter. On Saturday we met up with DeeDee and her daughter (also in the same online adoption group) and Robin and her girls. It was fun to have five 4 yr olds together. The weather was absolutely PERFECT and we spent a lot of time outside. I didn't get sunburned because I kept reapplying sunblock.

I really enjoyed having the weekend off and not thinking about pending clients. It was super laid back (hopefully not too laid back for my host!) and relaxing. I slept well, which usually isn't the case when I am away from home. The drive home seemed so long as I had to continue on about 20 mins to pick up the dog from our groomer who boarded him. It was his first time being boarded and I was concerned about how it went. We have her lined up to watch the dog while we are gone for 5 weeks this summer and I hoped that he behaved. He was excited when we showed up and he did well. He was around several other dogs and a cat and didn't freak out at all. It makes me realize that we need to socialize him more.
