Yesterday I posted my before & after of my haircut for Wordless Wednesday. Today I'll add the details. I posted recently about how I am sick of my Frumpy Plain Jane look. Part of it is my body image. I've gained weight the last few years and I am not pleased with myself. Last week I started a new exercise program. This week I decided that it was time to work on my looks. I didn't want to wait until after I lost weight to get some style. My long hair has been driving me nuts, so I had it cut and I am donating it to Pink Hearts Fund. They make wigs for cancer patients, but unlike Locks of Love they will accept gray hair. They will also take colored or permed hair. You can read more about my day at the salon and the progress of my transformation at Sited & Blogged.

I LOVE your new look! It's so fresh and updated!! Good for you! Once you start feeling better about how you look, the weight will be easier to get off. Be sure to buy yourself some new clothes when it starts to come off. It makes a big difference rather than just cinching the "fat" clothes. Yea you!
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely beautiful. Weight, no weight, where you want to be or not. I see a beautiful face, beautiful hair, and someone who should be proud of herself!
ReplyDeleteI think you look gorgeous, dahlink!! I love the new haircut - honestly? It took YEARS off your face. Instantly. Congrats on donating the hair - that's a great thing to do.
ReplyDeleteHmmm I wonder if we'll recognize you in a few months?? xx
I love your new haircut! You look fantastic! It was also such a nice thought to donate your hair to the Pink Hearts Fund. Awesome!

ReplyDeleteSo, that IS you! LOL! You look great! You should see how I changed my hair...but, it's under my helmet so you'll have to use your imagination!
ReplyDeleteI love your new hair doo!! About my jello cake, no baking well just the butter, sugar and pretzels for the 1st level to make a hard kind of crust.
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great. I think it's great that you don't neglect yourself while waiting to lose weight. I have a tendency to do that, but I refuse to do it anymore. We're worth it!
ReplyDeleteI love the new hair cut. It really flatters you. What a nice fresh change for fall.
