UV Skinz: Review & Giveaway CLOSED

I picked the Sarah long sleeved shirt in the black & white aloha print. It arrived in the late afternoon and I had it on when DH came home from work. He loved the look and feel of it, so he had me order shirts for the entire family. I used coupon code MOMBLOGS15 and got 15% off. Each family member enjoyed picking out a long sleeved shirt. My hubby got the black & white koi fish design, teen got royal blue, tween got blue sharks, and daughter got pink butterfly print.
I think the thing that my kids have appreciated the most about these shirts is that we can go to the pool when the sun is still out, instead evening so I can avoid the sun. We've had a cool summer, so evening swimming is chilly! I have liked not having to try to get sunscreen on my back. The shirt is very comfortable and I have not burned at all. I can feel the warmth of the sun on the shirt (especially the black part!) but not on my skin! Yea! So far I've just worn the shirt to the pool, but I think I will also wear it when I am out at an event or other activity in the sun. I didn't order the swim bra that they sell, so either I wear a sports bra or bikini top under it. I don't think the sun factor of the shirt matters to my kids, but they think the shirts are cool and have fun wearing them.
UV Skins was developed by Rhonda Sparks whose husband, Darren, died of skin cancer at the age of 32. Rhonda was left to raise their 3 boys on her own and has dedicated her life to teaching people about the dangers of sunburn and how to be sun smart! One severe sunburn during a child’s first fifteen years could double the chance of developing skin cancer as an adult. I burned quickly as a child. My parents covered me up and had me wear sunscreen, but I still worry that I might have some issues later in life. My kids don't burn as easily as I did, so they don't think they need to cover up. These shirts will help keep them covered which gives me more piece of mind!
