First Day of 11th Grade

OK...I am in shock here. My son hates this little tradition of mine where I take their pic on the first day of school. But this morning was divide and conquer and DH got him to smile! Yea! Jake starts his Junior year of HS today.Yes~ He is TALL!

  1. Hey, at least you can get a photo of him! Our son just steadfastly refused to pose for photos all the way through highschool! The only pics I have of those four years were pics of the back of his head or pics of him sleeping! (okay, that's a slight exaggeration but you get the point).

  2. My son (going into 9th grade) asked me yesterday "Are you going to take our picture AGAIN on the 1st day of school?" YES I AM! I wonder if I'll get a smile.

  3. WOW.. I didn't know he was the same age as Colton..
    Great photo..

  4. wow, first day already......Ill also be posting my kids first day Why do they hate that so much?

  5. Thank goodness for I.D. photos or I would have none of my Senior smiling. You were lucky to grab this one!!

We're off to a great start--Colin has Mrs. Hitler for Honors English and she collected the summer reading paper the very first day of class and proceeded to hand out zeros to those who came unprepared. It's worth like 30 percent of their grade. Guess who got his first zero. Yeah. I'm not sure who I'm more angry with.

  6. Wow - he is tall! It is going to be weird when my boys outgrow me! Being 5'2" it won't be long :-)

  7. He is lucky I am not his mom, I'll probably save their first lunchbox and have them take a picture with that to compare every year!
