Starting today I am changing the way that I do giveaways on my blogs. In the past I have asked for people to leave an email address if it's not linked to their account. I've done this so that I am able to get a hold of the winner and to let people know of new giveaways listed at Diana Rambles. Well, people have been getting spammed! I apologize! For the Scentsy giveaway, another Scentsy consultant (actually a director) emailed several of the entrants to promote herself. That is so tacky and I hope she gets in trouble! Several months ago another blog designer approached entrants to a blog makeover giveaway I was offering and she offered them the chance to host a blog makeover giveaway on their blog. On behalf of my readers I send my sincerest apologies! So from now on all entry information will be private. I will set up a google doc for each giveaway. It will be a simple form and all information entered will be kept private and not shared with anyone. I have gone back and hidden all comments on giveaways I have hosted. A draw back of this is that possible sponsors won't see how many entries I have. My reader's privacy is more important to me than PR.

Why do people always have to run things for everyone else...
ReplyDeleteThanks people...
Thanks Diana for letting us know.. Have a great evening..
That is just rude. I hope the google docs works well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, I hope you like it. I'm excited to participate in your giveaways. I can't wait to see if I win!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for popping to visit :-) Come back any time.
ReplyDeleteThat is awful! I always have people that participate in my contests leave their e mail addresses. So far I haven't had any problems with spam. Maybe I should be more careful too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update. I have been entering the giveaways and enjoy keeping up with your blog.
ReplyDeleteDiana love your blog!!!NataleeHttp://tatmama.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteThat's good of you to do and I respect you more as a blogger/contest runner for it.
ReplyDeleteThat is very tacky and UNPROFESSIONAL when so called "Blog designers" go after your participants as well. I hope people see through this.I have seen at least one "blog designer" lie about her qualifications. I know that you are honest and your clients appreciate this.
Kudos to you Diana!
Yikes wow people are really just rude!!! Sorry that happened to you!
ReplyDeleteI like the changes, I love the comic strip.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week my friend.
This is just nasty. I got listed in a newsletter that I didn't sign up for and I don't know how the heck they got my email until I realized I joined a giveaway on one blog. Not cool at all.
