My Carefree Week!

My 10 year old is at church camp this week and my teen is headed down to hang out with 37,000 other high schoolers at the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans. DH is off of work this week too. That leaves us with our 3 year old who is relishing having mommy & daddy all to herself. Today she helped Daddy paint the garage door, although she got more on the driveway than the door. We went out this evening and I got a new pair of Birkenstocks and then we went to dinner. We considered grabbing something from the Red Box to watch, but I am feeling sleepy and I tend to fall asleep when we watch movies. So we are just taking it easy and watching the Cubs instead. We will take a long walk in an hour or so.

Tomorrow we have to take our daughter for a 3 month surgery follow up. We spent much of the weekend in the van, but this shouldn't be so bad because it's only 90 minutes away. We have a little down time between her test and doctor visit, so we will probably walk along the river and watch barge traffic. We don't have any plans for Thursday at all. DH had a final on Friday morning and has to take off around 2:30 to make the 3 hour trek to pick up our son from camp. They have bbq and closing program. We will just have the 2 kids all weekend before teen returns on Monday afternoon. Life seems so carefree with just one child!!
