Last month I was contacted by Kristen at Woodgrove Personalized Gifts. Woodgrove is a company that produces awesomely unique wooden gifts. Kristen offered a custom block to me and I was thrilled to see Chinese Characters available. Since my daughter is Chinese, I picked out 5 characters that are meaningful to us. I had her full name put on the last side, but I have blurred it out to keep it private. The block arrived in a cute little box and my daughter was thrilled! She immediately opened it and said China! She just loves the block and immediately ran off and hid it. LOL!! I asked her to bring it back so I could look at it and take photos. She now has it displayed in her room. Check out these photos~
As you can see 2 sides of the block are darker. I think is is because the grain in a tree runs one way, so the grain on those sides is a little darker. Anyway, it's a wonderful block and would make a perfect gift. The quality is very nice and can withstand a kid playing with it if they wanted. The customer service was great!! Woodgrove can engrave just about anything on a block. Check out their samples. In addition to blocks, they have plaques, growth charts, and take special orders.
