Today is the Chinese Lantern Festival and to celebrate my MSM is all about our Chinese New Year tree. We have a little table top Christmas tree that we remove the ornaments from and leave up to decorate for Chinese New Year. We make & add new ornaments each year. Here is Dori dressed up next to the tree.

Here are ornaments from Year of the Pig and Year of the Rat.

Since it is the Year of the Ox, we made the following ornaments.

Here is Dori painting & decorating the ornaments.

We also made a couple of little lantern ornaments.

How fun & easy is this tree? You could do the same with any holiday or birthday. One day I hope to have a much larger tree with years of ornaments we have created.
That is so adorable and your little girl is just beautiful! I really can hardly wait 'til my kids can do things like this with me.

These pictures are adorable! It looks like you guys had tons of fun. :) The ornaments turned out really well - I hope you save some so she has them in the coming years. My kids love looking at things they did when they were little. :)
