OK...Time to Catch Up

When I last left you, I was busy prepping for my daughter's birthday. On Friday we met friends at a local indoor playground and have fun playing and eating cupcakes. She wore the new outfit that I made her (which I posted on Friday.) Saturday was her actual birthday. She got to open presents in the morning and play with them all day. We went to my sister's house for dinner and then to a friends for game night. Dori was excited to have cake again and to be able to play with several of her friends. On Sunday we got up and went to early church and then I spent the day redesigning a blog for Deborah and doing some other blog/graphic work. We attended a playdate with some of Dori's friends from school in the afternoon and then watched the finale of Amazing Race in the evening. I am so glad that Ken & Tina didn't win. Monday was Dori's 3 yr check up and she is very healthy! She also had a screening for our local school district preschool program. She did extremely well and did not qualify. The program is for at risk children, and although she had some rough beginnings she is doing great now. I was sort of bummed that she didn't get into the free program, but I am thrilled to know how far she's come since we adopted her.

DH took yesterday off of work for his finals. In the afternoon we cleaned and organized and then put up Christmas decorations. Dori was very excited about the decorations and ornaments. We only do a table top tree because we don't have room for a big tree and party guests at our big 2nd Friday in December bash. We watched Chuck and then DH & I stayed up late. He is always in bed early, which was a shock to see him up so late! We were on our laptops together. I designed my Custom Blog Designs blog with a holiday theme.Today Dori had school and I ran errands. I got several things for our party. I still need to get groceries and make cookies and such. I have figure out the punch recipe I am using this year. I finally ordered our Christmas cards which is a HUGE load off. I ended up using Winkflash instead of VistaPrint. And I am finally caught up to this evening, where I am just catching up on my blogging.
