Mellow Monday
It was a bitter cold day so I just stayed home. I had some volunteer paperwork to take care of and made some phone calls. This evening we went to the mall and listened to Jake's jazz band play. They sounded great!
Our new space heater isn't working and there is an extra chill in the house. I am going to exchange it tomorrow. I also want to put plastic on the windows. Even though we have 2 pane replacement windows the plastic helps. Especially in Dori's SW corner room. When we had the house sided over the summer they did put extra insulation on which has helped, but today's cold proved that a little more is needed.
Did any of you watch the Survivor Finale? I was glad that Bob won, even though I picked Sugar in my weekly poll. Actually everyone picked Sugar. I am about to put up a new poll.
I am making my shopping list and really struggling to come up with meal ideas. I found some new recipes that I am going to try out. If we like them, I will post them here.
The Xmas cards that I ordered last week via Winkflash arrived today. I am very pleased with the printing. I was able to upload my design into the blank template and nothing got cut off! Now I have to tackle addressing (I'll print labels), stamps, and prep of the kid's portraits to go in the envelope. That always feels like such a chore! BUT I enjoy creating the card and seeing other cards that people send.

I love winkflash. I had an 8x8 layout printed a few months ago and it turned out so nicely -- and they are the least expensive of the many sites I know about. Glad to know about the template option. Maybe by next year, I'll trust my design skills enough to "go public" and make my own cards.

Ok how did you keep from getting anything cut off????? I uploaded my card to the template and it cut 1/2 inch off everything all the way around and if I stretch it I'm afraid it will still not print right. I'm scared to try them.
