Go Graham Go & Jolly Mom host Make Something Monday. For today's MSM I decided to put up the recipes of goodies I made for our party.
Cranberry Oatmeal White Choc Chip Cookies
- 2/3 cup butter, softened
- 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- bag of dried cranberries
- 1/2 bag of white chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Combine oats, flour, salt, and baking soda in a different bowl and gradually add to the sugar mixture. Stir in dried cranberries and white chocolate. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire racks. These can be made ahead of time and will stay good for a few days OR can be frozen.
Chocolate Cherry Chip Cookies- 1 package cherry flavored cake mix
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 Tablespoons water
- bag of chocolate chips
Stir together cake mix, egg, oil, and water. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet and back at 375 for 13-15 mins. Cool cookies and hand dip half of the cookie into melted chocolate chips and let cool/harden on wax paper. I take the easy way out and just bake the choc chips into the cookies! So YUMMY!
Hand-dipped Pretzel Rods- pretzel rods
- bag of chocolate chips
- sprinkles
Melt choc chips in microwave for about a minute. Stir. Microwave in increments of 15 seconds more til smooth. Dip pretzel into chocolate. I like to use a tall narrow container so that more area of the rod can get covered with chocolate. Immediately shake sprinkles onto the chocolate and set on wax paper to harden.
Candy Coated Popcorn- Paper grocery sack
- Cooking spray
- Popped popcorn
- package of almond bark
- sugar sprinkles
Take the grocery sack and coat the inside with cooking spray. Pop your popcorn~ I used airpop and fill the bag just over 1/2 way. Melt the almond bark according to directions (I did it in the microwave) and pour into bag. Close the bag and shake it up. Shake it up some more. Really really shake it until the popcorn is coated. Pour in some candy sprinkles and shake. Add more sprinkles and put on some KC & The Sunshine Band and Shake Your Booty. Tear open the grocery sack and leave out on a table to harden. I break up the pieces as I put into a bowl to serve. It's YUMMY and the grocery sack makes for easy clean up!!
Fool Proof Fudge- bag of chocolate chips
- can of sweetened condensed milk
- a pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
Melt choc chips in microwave for about a minute. Stir. Microwave in increments of 15 seconds more til smooth. Pour in the condensed milk and stir. Add salt & vanilla and stir. Pour into a butter greased pan and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. You can add nuts, mints, or other goodies in before refrigerating.
Christmas Cheer Punch- 3 ounce package cherry gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 6-ounce can frozen lemonade concentrate
- 3 cups cold water
- 1 quart cranberry juice cocktail, chilled
- 12 ounce bottle 7-Up or similar lemon-lime soda, chilled
Dissolve gelatin in water then add the rest of the ingredients and stir. I added cranberry juice ice cubes with bits of lemon & lime frozen in them. It was quite yummy, but I doubled the recipe which was too much for the punch bowl!
