What happened to Friday?

I totally forgot to post! Dori & I had a playdate in the morning, I have her blog a FAB new look (see below) in the afternoon, and then I had one of monthly headaches last night so I went to bed early. Eric & I did some trouble shooting and figure out that our dryer needed a new fuse. We had vinyl siding put on our house over the summer and they put in new vents. These new vents have a screen on the inside of the vent and it was CLOGGED with lint. We are going to need to remember to clean it out every few months. I guess that's the trade off for keeping the cold air out! Anyway, we called around locally to find the fuse and no one had it. We were given 2 toll-free numbers to call and order the part, and both were around $30. I quickly did a search on eBay and was able to find the part for less than $10 w/ shipping from the seller I got a part for our washer from before. Not only are we saving $20 on the part, we are saving probably $60-$100 on a service call from a pro. Eric is pretty handy, but we knew exactly what to test on the dryer because I googled. One of those times where I just love, love, love the internet! Anyway, the part won't be here in time for my weekly laundry but that's OK. Even though a few people have offered use of their dryer, I'll probably go to the laudromat because I can get it all dried quickly. The kids are off school on Tuesday, so I'll go that day and take them with.

So there was no Friday Fun this week. I am thinking and plan on doing something everyone can participate in starting next Friday. I hope you will all like it!

We don't have anything on tap for today. It's been a while since we had a Saturday with NO plans. Jake is off at a speech competition all day (I had to get up at 6am to take him to school, but I went back to bed!) and the rest of us are just sitting around. Both Eric and I are on our laptops and Parker & Dori are velcro'd to Eric. We do plan on going to the library later. I've got to come up with a dinner idea and maybe stop by the store to pick up a few things. Maybe I will redesign this blog.
