A New Look

Time for a new blog look. What do you think? I'll try these colors out for a while. I like the layered look of green, teal, and diamond shapes backgrounds. If you are interested in having me redesign your blog see my Custom Blog Designs site for a truly unique look.

With the new look, I am starting a new feature that I hope you will all participate it. It's called Family FotoFun Friday. I must give proper credit to Donna & Lissa who have hosted this in the past. I really enjoy participating in Make Something Monday and Wordless Wednesday, so I thought I'd host something here. Each week I will post a theme and participants have through the following Thursday to post their theme photo on the list. They can either take a new photo with that theme or post to an old post that happens to fit that theme. It's fun to go around to everyone's blog and see their submission. I'll give you a head's up and let you know that this Friday's theme will be Veterans/Military. Maybe you have a friend or family member who is a Veteran or is currently serving in the Military...or maybe you have an old photo that you can scan of a grandparent or someone else in uniform. I'll have to scan a pic of my DH & I from early on when he was in the Navy. Get your photo ready and I'll have posting instructions on Friday.

It's been a very lazy weekend for us. We got the Rokenbok set out and the kids have enjoyed playing with it. I donated blood this morning and felt a little weak throughout the day. We went to my sister's house for dinner and had a great meal of stew & rice, which really helped pep me up. My sister & family moved here June '07 and it's been great having them around. We try to eat together on Sunday nights. Then we came home and watched Amazing Race and we are about to head off to bed. The kids are off school on Tuesday for Veteran's Day, but otherwise nothing special going on this week. I need to plan meals and get groceries tomorrow. I need to balance the checkbook also. Such excitement!
