Election Day - BUY GAS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had to take Jake to school early for Jazz Band practice and decided to drive by our polling place on the way back to see if it looked busy. There are 2 precincts that vote where we do and there was a line out the door. Eric is up and out the door about 30 mins early, I hope he gets through the line quickly cause he has to be at work at 8am. I will probably vote around 3pm.
Beside voting, my best advice for today is buy gas!! We filled up on Friday and it was $2.25. I saw it down to $2.09 yesterday. So in Sept I filled up at $3.99, in Oct it was $2.94, and last tank was $2.25. I do believe that today will be the lowest it goes. If Obama is elected I believe that gas will spike. If McCain is elected I believe that prices will hold steady. I don't believe the price of gas should determine how a person votes, but I do think the vote will determine the price. I myself am voting Obama.
And speaking of price of gas going down...why the heck haven't other things that have gone up (and were blamed on the price of gas) stayed up? Like MILK? Come on! It's rediculous! It's been hovering around $3.68 here for the past few weeks. Give a mom a break!
Have a great Tuesday. We are expecting near record temps in the mid 70s today. It's been warm for several days. We are sleeping with our windows open in November and loving it! Unfortunately I do think it might be a colder winter than normal. Ick! I love living here, but am not a big fan of COLD!

I bought gas at Sam's Club on Saturday for $2.04/gallon. I was GIDDY about putting 3/4 of a tank of gas in my car for under $30. We were paying nearly DOUBLE that amount just 4 weeks ago. I don't know why the price is going down, but I certainly hope it remains that way for a while -- my checkbook could use a break!
ReplyDeleteVoting took me about 35 minutes this morning -- I was expecting a longer wait. Gobama! :-)
I am loving the gas prices right now. Our weekend trip couldn't have come at a better time. We even saw 1.83 in some places!
ReplyDeleteOur prices are still about $2.50 but much better than they were. I think that once things like groceries go up they tend to stay up, not fair.
ReplyDeleteI voted last night, our county is mail in ballots only. It is nice to vote in your kitchen but some of the experiance of going to the polls is lost.
Have a Great Day!
