World Poverty

To be honest with you, I haven't figured out what I am going to say tonight. I purposely didn't blog about anything else today (so I'll have a lot to say tomorrow!) I had the youth group help put together health kits (which only cost $2.16 ea) and talked to them about who the kits go to and how we have so much that we take for granted, etc. I have no idea if I reached any of them, but I hope I planted some seeds. My son (who was the oldest of the bunch) seemed to be more interested in goofing around.
Am I doing my part to end world poverty? No
Am I mindful of it? Sometimes
Do I take our wealth (in global terms) for granted? You bet I do! Especially when I seem to be so focused on how tight finances are.

I hope something I have said (or linked) today touches someone somehow and gets them to think or act differently.
