Out of Touch

I've been so out of touch the past few days. I've not been home much and I felt so overwhelmed by the time we got home from the party last night. I woke up this am fairly refreshed. I took the kids to Sunday School and then we came home and straightened. I thought I would be at it all day long, but the house looks decent after 3 hours or so. I am just sitting down now to the computer.

Working concessions at the football games takes a lot out of you. I was almost too tired to go to the party, but it was so good to see our friends. Eric was there for about an hour before continuing north. I was concerned about driving home, but I drank a soda and blared the radio on the way home so I did OK. I was pleased to get gas for $2.94/gal. right near my friends house. My last fill up (a month ago...yup, I don't fill up much!) I paid $3.99/gal. Isn't it pathetic that around $3 seems good? It wasn't that many years ago that would have thought that was really expensive! All the kids were wired when we got home last night (Jake brought a friend along) and I had to try to settle them all down. I am so thankful that they like to sleep in! I am feeling OK now, but I wouldn't be surprised if I take a catnap this afternoon. We are going to my sister's for dinner tonight and of course there is Amazing Race to watch. I record Desperate Housewives, but will watch it sometime when the kids are not around at all.

For those of you curious about Amazing Race Asia, here is a link to a guy from Philippines who put up 4 of the episodes so far. I watched it via another link last night. They advertised this as the toughest AR ever and it is!

With Eric gone there is NO FOOTBALL on today. It's a nice break! LOL! Actually I usually just ignore the guys when they all come over and watch so it doesn't really matter. I am glad we got our work done early so we have the rest of the afternoon to play/work/study/nap/whatever.
