Man Burgers

We just got done with dinner. What are Man Burgers? It's a recipe we adapted from the Men's Health website. We dubbed them Man Burgers.

Man Burgers

1-1.5 # of lean ground meat (we use beef)
1 egg
1 cup oatmeal
1 package of onion soup mix
small amount of shredded Mexican blend (or any blend) cheese
frozen spinach*

*Tonight was the first time we used the spinach in the recipe. I just thawed it under hot water and then rang out all the liquid before mixing it in with all the ingredients. If you go much more than 1.5# of meat, then go with more egg. Then you just grill the burgers. In the winter we've grilled them on the George Foreman inside, but this tends to dry them out a little. We serve on whole wheat buns. Taste great reheated for lunch the next day. YUM!

We are just hanging out for the evening. Kids homework is done, they are prepared for school tomorrow. Jake is going to Young Life. Eric and I will probably catch up on TV by watching The Amazing Race Asia 3, episode 4 and Amazing Race 13, episode 2 (while I work on pimping blogs.) AR Asia only airs on AXN channel in Asia, but we watch online through You Tube or similar. It is just like AR in the US, they speak English but have a different host (Allan Wu). We tried watching AR Brazil once, but there were NO English subtitles, so we couldn't follow along. We are AR junkies!

  3. I love AR - had no idea that there were other "versions". I would love to watch the Asia one, I will have to see if I can find it.
