Did you see my Name is Earl last Thursday?
OK...I just love that show. It's the white trailer park version of Highway to Heaven. The episode with Joy's infected toe was just TOOO funny. If you don't watch that show, you can see the episode HERE at nbc.com.
Anyway, we have our own version going on now. Jake has had some issues with ingrown toe nails this year. And I guess I haven't been on as top of it as I should have. So last night after dinner (with my physician sis & her family), Jake asked her to look at his toe. She said we needed to take him in to be seen IMMEDIATELY. Well, Jake is now on a powerful antibiotic for his infection and he need to get back to podiatry SOON! Only problem is he has 3 weeks of marching band season left and they really need him. We are concerned that if they were to do something major with his toe that he might be done for the season. He is soaking and putting antibiotic drops on the toe now and taking oral antibiotics and is sitting out marching practice (he doesn't mind this one!) for a few days. I am going to call podiatry in a few minutes and talk to them. Depending on openings (it usually takes a few weeks to get in), I might take him in before marching season ends. Stay tuned for updates...

OUCH..
ReplyDeleteThat is all I can say..
Dang - so sorry about the toe. At least you are on the way to making it better.
ReplyDeleteOn to MNIE - I do like it, and think it is very, very funny. But... I have this fantasy about sheltering Olivia from as much violence as possible, and MNIE, at times, has more than I ever expected. It is usually more slapstick but it is still people hitting other people. Or blowing them (or pigs) up, etc.
I wish I knew what the answer was, and I am certainly not picking on that particular show - but it is fresh in my mind right now. Any thoughts on how to handle it?
